Purification ceremony!

On the eighth day, the child shall be circumcised. Every first born male belongs to the Lord. Jesus too was taken to the Temple in Jerusalem. He was dedicated to the Lord. Two doves were offered as part of the purification ceremony after Childbirth: one as burnt Offering and the other as sin Offering.

There was a man Simeon living in Jerusalem. He was a good, devout and God fearing man waiting for Israel to be saved. The Holy Spirit was with him and the promised Messiah will come in his own life time was his conviction. Led by the Spirit, he was in the Temple and taking the Child JESUS in his arms he break out into songs of Praise and thanks giving to God:

“Now, Lord you have kept your promise, and you may let your servant go in peace. With my own eyes I have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the presence of all peoples: A light to reveal your will to the Gentiles.”

Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “This child is chosen by God for the destruction and salvation of many in Israel. He will be a sign from God which many people will speak against and so revealtheir secret thoughts. And sorrow, like a sharp sword, will break your heart.”

Anna was an old prophetess and a widow, daughter of Phanuel who is from Asher tribe. Married only for seven year and now at 84. Fasting and praying the Temple has been her permanent fixation day and night. At that very hour she too arrived and give thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were waiting for God to set Jerusalem free.

JESUS CHRIST is the fulfillment of all that’s written about in the old Testament books. The impending COMING of the Messiah. From Abraham to Zechariah and from Genesis down to Malachi and from Matthew to Revelation its all about JESUS CHRIST. The great king David longs to see and breaks into Song after Songs. Isaiah foresee his coming GLORY and the reign of peace. Immanuel: with us is God coming into fulfillment.

Jesus Christ is the answer to all our problems. Will you let him be a healing touch for once. Come let him in and be free from the hand of the evil one. The power to saves and be a light to all nations. Thats what JESUS CHRIST is all about. Isaiah 42:6, 49:6, 52:10. GOD is LOVE! Almighty God is for all. To steal, kill and destroy is what Satan the EVIL one is. GOD’S plan is JESUS CHRIST. He gave up his life and rose from the death and sit at the right hand of God. He is coming back for you and me! To save, to heal and to make you righteous in the eyes of God is his message. Come and be a priest and a king, lighting up the darkness away. The KINGDOM of GOD is near. Come and delay it no further. Now is the time in hand. Act and seek out JESUS CHRIST. He never fails!
