Trust and obey…!

To hear and in obedience lies happiness!

Overwhelmed and exasperated over the situations in your hand. In queue after queue for fuel, for gas, for money. The queues goes on and on with no hope for a changes.

Manipur was once a princely kingdom! Into snake and demon worshipping. The hills were an independent villagedom, the Chief is supreme: His word is the law. No body can go against him. To have any opinion other than the Chief is a strict No, No! To persist to stand in contrary entails expulsion from the village.

The valleys and the hills have come together by accident but oneness is a far cry. Everyone clings to thier past glory. Crying out loud and clear to be back to thier Root. But DARK was the immediate Root. Into nature and Demon worship. Chaotic and destructive. A semblance of calmness existing then was due to Fear that run deep in the Administration of the Kingdom as well as the Hill Villagedoms!

2000 years back, JESUS walks into the house of Mary and Martha. Mary was sitting with Jesus, conversing animatedly and in happiness. Oblivious of the time and the world of worries and problems surrounding them.

Martha was deeply engrossed in works. Perhaps, preparing tea and snacks, cleaning up the cups, plates, utensils and the pots. Bringing in the firewood. Tidying up the place. The list must be going on and on and Martha was troubled and restless. Exasperated she complains it to JESUS only to be told:

“Martha, Martha! You are worried and troubled over so many things, but just one is needed. Mary has chosen the right thing, and it will never be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41-42.

When words spread that Jesus was baptizing more people than John, Jesus left Judaea for Galilee going through Samaria. There is a short route for Galilee. But Jesus had to or needed to go through Samaria because the woman there needed HIM.

The woman in question is a promiscuous Samaritan woman. Her life is in a mess. She has many men but not one whom she can addressed as her husband. She quietly come to the well to draw her water when no one is there. But Jesus knew it all. He revealed her life and she met her messiah. Her life changed. From walking in the dark to walking in the open telling her testimony to one and all and bringing about a changes in other too.

Dear Friend! Are you in trouble and lost for meaning in life. Overwhelmed and exasperated by the happening around you. JESUS destination was Galilee but he ensured to visit the Samaritan woman who needed HIM.

Today, HE cares for you too. Whatever be your problems. Whatever be the situations you have dug yourself into, He can help you out. All you need to do is open up your heart to him. Like Mary, listen and hear his gracious and loving words of wisdom and healing! The one thing you and I and the world needed is GOD’S words and to obey it!

JESUS heals the sicks and the invalids of the days. He delivered the demon possessed. The blind sees. The lame walks. Seeing the wonderful powers and wisdom of JESUS a woman commented “What a blessed woman the one who delivered you.” Jesus responded, “Rather, how happy are those who hear the words of God and obey it!” Luke 11:28.

Truly, happiness lies in hearing the words of God and in obedience to it. We are in a mess, gone astray from God. The way back to Eden lies in linking up with God again. Restoration can come in obeying the words of God. And JESUS CHRIST is the sublime words of God. In accepting HIM as our saviour and King lies our happiness and the way back to God.
